Christmas Cookery with Creative Meat Free Ideas
10.30am to 4.00pm The session will
begin with coffee and Christmas shortbread. Desserts will be
demonstrated, after which you will prepare a range of starters and
desserts. The starters will be eaten during the lunch break. A main
course will be demonstrated. You will then prepare a range of main
course dishes, including smoked bean curd parcels, savoury strudel
and variations on the traditional nut roast. You will sit down to
eat the results and sample the desserts you made earlier.

Want to prepare
quick healthy dinners but don?t have much time? This course includes something
for everyone from basic pasta sauces to cooking for special occasions.
Each recipe can be prepared and cooked in 30 minutes. Explore a
range of meat free staple ingredients. Share time saving tips will be given and
along with ideas for meal planning. The day will begin with coffee, followed by
a demonstration and practical session. After lunch you will prepare main courses
including sausage and cannelini bean hotpot and chick pea tagine. This will be
followed by some quick puddings. The results will be eaten at the end of the
afternoon.
Tasty Tofu
10.30am to 4.00pm
Ever wondered what to do with tofu? This course looks at different types of tofu
and includes a range cooking techniques.
Explore traditional ways of serving this dish such as stir fry with ginger and
soy sauce. Discover Mexican faititas, savoury, flans and pates. Prepare a range
of desserts including a rich chocolate pudding.
The day
will begin with coffee followed by a demonstration. You will then prepare a
brunch, which will include scrambled tofu. The afternoon will include a mixture
of demonstration and hands on cooking.
You will then sit down to eat the results
